History

Carr Memorial Christian Church began under the leadership of Rev. Henderson in November of 1924. A lot was given by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carr and Mr. and Mrs. Fulton Carr, thus the church was named Carr Memorial.

The initial building was dedicated in March of 1925. In 1942 a need developed to expand the facilities due to growth. So in April 1957 the present building was finished with a seating capacity of 250.
Carr Memorial began with 14 members and now has a membership of 200.

Once you meet the people of Carr you will realize why so many have joined with us. We are a loving, caring group of Christians, who love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We feel our purpose here is to serve our community for Christ.

If you are looking for a church family, we hope you will consider making Carr Memorial your church home. Please join us for Sunday School, worship, children and youth activities, and any other special events. If we can be of any service to you, do not hesitate to contact us.
